finding stars

It was night. The night that was always constant, the night, like every other night, that was the same. It was dark, nearly black, yet not so, more an inky blue depth stepping so very closely into the recesses of the shadows. The clouds lifted across the night, like curtains drawing away to reveal the stage of stars lighting up the dark dark sky. The stars could be counted; they were so very few.

“One, two, three.” The little girl paused for a moment, her forefinger to her pouted lips, her eyes scrunched in concentration. “It’s always the same!”

The little girl jumped off the set of swings that were a little too high for her. Her little shoe clad feet stomped into the grainy sand creating annoyed imprints in its wake. Huffing, the little girl crossed her arms defiantly and began a mission to ignore the stars. She bit her low lip, her tiny teeth clamped halfheartedly, and releasing the abused flesh when her mission failed.

Soothing her lower lip with her tongue, the girl faced the set of rusted swings. Contemplating, the little girl’s little hands fisted into her blue sundress, wrinkling the semi coarse material, only to attempt smoothing them out awhile later. Sticking her tongue out at the playground equipment, the girl ambled towards it and clambered onto the wooden seat, only slipping once or twice because of its height.

“See Daddy, I scaled the swings!” the little girl smiled at the sky once more. “I used the word ‘scaled’ too Daddy. You taught me that.” The little girl’s smile faded and morphed into an expression of mild annoyance. “I do learn other words! Who says I don’t!”

The little girl sat under the blanket of stars and cloudless skies, both her hands tucked almost religiously under her chin, as if in a prayer. For a while, the girl was quiet, her eyes glazed as she stared longingly into the sky.

“ One, two, three.” The girl closed her eyes as one tiny tear rolled down her cheek. “Daddy, you said that people who go to heaven are the stars in the sky.”

The little girl was silent again, eyes closed palms still reverently under her tiny chin. Clear streaks ran down each cheek as the girl kept utterly quiet. Then she looked up.

“Mummy says you’ve gone to heaven Daddy. But I only counted three stars. Where are you?”

The tears have dried under the wind, yet clear longing was still in the eyes of the little girl.

“Daddy, where can I find you?”

revival rainbow
Realized the song has reverted back to Rainbow Connection? By popular demand, Kermit is to sing Rainbow Connection at my blog! Wahaha.

Anyways, today has been tiring, mentally. Many things have happened. Things that involve other people and thing that only involve me personally. Sigh. Sometimes i don't know what to do. But i always find myself tempted to take the attractive route of avoiding and running away. But i'm not going to do it anymore. See where THAT had got me previously. Luckily, now i find that my friend and i are on closer terms. Though not as close as before, but nevertheless, closer.

Ack. Well well well. no more taking the easy way out. Haha. Sorry for the short post but i'm really tired. Tomorrow, actually, its today, cos its already 12. But today later at 1pm, i gotta go Ngee Ann for POS meeting. How cool is that?! The only sian thing is that i wanna sleep. Haha. So farewell my avid readers! Cya soon ya? BaiBai *waves hands*

run, run and run
Sigh. Run, run, run! i really need to keep up with my friends more! I just realized how 'blur-ed' i am about them. Like my sec sch friends! Grr... I know so little about them now as compare to the time when we were in the same school together.. Well there ARE other people that i wouldn't like mentioning, but i feel lacking in the area of friendship. So, start to buck up Alicia! Yupp i'm senile! scolding myself.. Bleh. Run, run, run! Its so simple to be friends at first but highly tiring to keep at it after long periods of time. Especially when u tell your secrets and deepest inner thoughts to these people. Foundations are much easier to lay than to build on.

Keh. Tried catching up today. Hm, i think i did horribly. Haha! I guess friendship is not a one time event huh? Well, its a lesson well learnt and it a lesson i intend to keep close to me. Keke. Well, things are not soo bad as i mentioned above. just a little absentmindedness on the part of me and i think i let quite a few people down. BUT! Run, run, run! and i hope i can make this extra effort to ctah up.

So peace to all you dooders! And a happy sayonara!

(Btw, should i change my blog song to Kokomo by Kermit?)

40 winks
Wow, Today i woke up at 12pm, and went to sleep again at about 3pm. Just woke up, body aching. I think i slept too much! Wahaha. But i think it was good rest. My mind feels good, refreshed. Ableit abit groggy, inside i feel much better, like i have slept my problems away. Aiyaya. Yesterday i talked to Bel, she cheered me up and amazingly, its without any lame jokes at all! WOW! She kinda placed my mind to a rest, assured me that it hadn't done SUCH a horrid deed. i do hope that it true. Just glad that i'm still friends with that person instead of going about periodically ignoring each other.

Haha away with the bad stuff and on with the good!

Sigh, what's good? Well i got my enrollment package from Ngee Ann, EARLY CHILDHOOD. Now don't laugh! i'm perfectly MATURE enough to take on that course! Haha, but that is not what i wanted. Praying and hoping hard that Ngee Ann mass Com will accept me, if not some other poly's media courses will. Hah, just realized the good news kinda evolved into bad. Nah, not a problem. Shan't worry my head off when i know someone up there has a good plan for me.

Everything's all right :)

By the way, anyone thinks the kermit song irritating? Haha! My sister does! She totally abhores it! Kekeke.. well on a last note, i really need to say, I NEED NEW SPECS! Haha, my current one slips of my nose and so i don't don it and i walk around seeing blur faces. How cool is that? Anyone will to contibute? Wahaha. So that IS all. Another sayonara to the bored people reading this! :)

guilty
Arh.. after posting today, i went blog surfing. Shall not elaborate much, but sighs. Don't know how to put it, don't know how to say it. Its hard to say sorry cos i think i shouldn't know. The worst is that i KNOW and have known for a quite some time and did a-sinful-lot of avoiding. Crap. Haha. That's an upset 'Haha' for your info. I mean, i don't know why i did it. Natural reaction i guess, just like any other would huh? But shound't friends be more than that? I realized that i was selfish for my own comfort and darn! i feel like some low life now. i guess i'm sorry, i really am. And it seems i'm forgiven even before i had admitted my woes. Shaarks! i am selfish aren't i? Gosh, temper problem, habitual forgetfulness, now selfishness and cowardice. How low than lower have i fallen?

habitual
Temper, TEMPER, TEMPER! Sigh, gotta start learning to control. My temper got the better of me today :( Yupp. And after i cooled down, i realized how unreasonable i was. I instructed my sis and bro to stay at home because i had no keys, but they left anyways and left me stranded outside my own home. At that point in time, i was so livid that i shouted at them into the phone. After a cool down walk of fifteen mins, i was thoroughly so called awakened. So, Temper, TEMPER, TEMPER! Must learn to get rid of that! :) Now, i'm cool with my siblings.

Sigh, another one of my bad habits has reared its ugly ogly head again today. Today i went to clementi and had late lunch at Macs. Well, i used my ezlink card to tap food today (haha tap food), then i left my ezlink card on the tray. Smart huh? i didn't place it back into my wallet, thus when it was time to go home i panicked. Wahaha! So i asked God for help, lol.. then i went back to Macs and asked if they picked up any ezlink. Well the answer was no and i seriously thought i had to walk home. But happened that my phone vibrate, then i unzip my bag and found the card in there. Wahaha! i was so happy k!! Checheche...

Okay! i'm like so excited! Tomorrow going to zouk! Finally get to meet cassie after such a longish time! At first was supposed to meet both Sze and Cassie, but Sze bailed!! SZE MIN!! YOU'RE ALWAYS BAILING ON ME!! Haha, do hope to meet Ms. Valedictorian soon!! Am missing her oh so wise attitude in the midst of my crazy ways now. Lol~ Cassie and Sze, my gossip buddies! My crush confidants! And my fellow lamers!! Miss ya all! Btw, i'm meeting up with fellow lamer Belinda Tan White White next Sunday. You guys wanna tag? I think Sher's coming too ya. Back to zoukl, i'm gonna wear all black! Ooooo... VOODOOOO... haha no! i just like black. And oh! I just got a new black shirt! Wicked cool!!! Wahaha!! Ok, i'm digressing (don't i always?) Ugh..

Well, to end this silliness, i'm gonna bid you looners sayonara! *kisses fly!* or is it *flying kisses?*

the lovers, the dreamers, and me
Why are there so many
Songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side
Rainbows are visions
But only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide

So we've been told
And some chose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see
Someday we'll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me

Who said that every wish
Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star
Somebody thought of that
And someone believed it
Look what it's done so far

What's so amazing
That keeps us star gazing
And what do we think we might see
Someday we'll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me

All of us under its spell
We know that it's probably magic

Have you been half asleep
And have you heard voices
I've heard them calling my name
Are these the sweet sounds
That called the young sailors
The voice might be one and the same

I've heard it too many times to ignore it
It's something that I'm supposed to be
Someday we'll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me

at the begining
Well! Here i am again! Blogging. Sigh.. it has been a long time since i blogged. Arh well.. Needed a break from this and now i'm back! Haha! Woohoo.. *recently i've been (singaing to the tune of McFly's 'Obviously'), hopelessly working. Out in the world, its tough in this world, believe me... * Yupp, tough, sweaty work! Sigh, and there's this girl that irritates the hell out of me, but! Someone told me that such people are meant to be the thorn in our sides to teach us something. *Groans* She was (and still is) like sooooooo bossy. Her smiles don't reach her eyes and her words don't touch my heart<3. Urg! To top it off, she's like a senior because she worked longer and i have to listen to her!!! Sighh..

Anyways! Lets get on to a nicer topic shall we?

Judge: Court Adjourned!

Haha! Anyways, this the conversation that me and my friend Ernest had when i told him about my blog address (this blog!). It goes as follows...

Ern: So tell me

What's the cost price of producing a kid at ya factory

(For those who are blur my blog add is kidsfactory.blogspot.com, thus this discussion)

Ern: and what's the selling price

Me: Haha well, the cost is unpredictable

First you have to request for a particular kid producer
Than you have to spend time to get to know your producer

You might have to spend money to prove to her that you really want a kid
The process can be long or short depending on the producer
At the end of the day, all this factory provides is the producer

Whether or not the producer offers services is all up to how you perform
(i meant courtship people)

Haha! When i chose my blog add, i didn't think of it that way, it had just sounded corny and cute, so i chose it. Oh well, trust Ernest to come up with all the different ways to push me into a banter. Haha! My lamed banter bud! This is dedicated to you Ern!! Hah! La! I'm in such a better mood now! Finished up the new look to my blog and cleaned up the slate! Now is 'orh orh' time!! Or maybe NOT!

Well, will blog again! Sayonara!

current pursuit

Salem Falls by Jodi Picoult

Jack and Jill went up the hill
to fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his corwn,
And Jill came tumbling after.

Then up Jack got and home did trot
as fast as he could caper,
To old Dame Dob, who patched his nob
With vinegar and brown paper.
